Privacy Policy

Overview

Rise is an iOS alarm clock with day-of-week scheduling. Your privacy is simple: your data stays on your device, no account is required, and we do not track you.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following locally on your device:

• Alarm configurations (times, days, labels, sounds)
• App settings and preferences
• Skip-next state for upcoming alarms

None of this data is transmitted to any server. It remains entirely on your device.

Apple Health

Rise can optionally write wake-up events to Apple Health as sleep analysis data. This feature is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled in Settings. Health data is written directly to the on-device HealthKit store and is never transmitted to our servers.

What We Don't Collect

• No analytics or usage tracking
• No advertising or ad SDKs
• No location data
• No contacts, photos, or camera access
• No user accounts or registration
• No data is sold or shared with third parties

Permissions

The app may request the following permissions:

• Notifications — Required. Used to sound alarms at scheduled times.
• Apple Health — Optional. Used to log wake-up times for sleep tracking.

Data Retention & Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. To delete all data, delete the app. There is no cloud backup or sync.

Children's Privacy

Rise is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
